Sunday School
classes for children, junior and senior high youth, and adults at 9:30
a.m. (Nursery provided during Sunday School.)
Alpha, a 10-week course in
basic Christianity, is offered three times a year. The evening begins with
supper, followed by a video tape and then small group discussion. The
Alpha course began at Holy Trinity Brompton Church in England and has
become a world-wide, interdenominational movement. It is for new believers
or anyone interested in learning more about the faith. Call the church office,
546-8030, for details or to register for the next course. An
introductory dinner with the topic,
"Christianity: Boring, Untrue, Irrelevant?"- may be attended on
September 14 without making
a commitment. Bring a friend!
GriefShare, a grief recovery
support group, meets for a 13-session video seminar several times a year.
The next series begins on September 16. To learn more or to register, call

welcome.
DivorceCare
offers support for people going through the pain of separation and
divorce, learning the tools to cope with this crisis through education,
conversation and prayer. Facilitated by Gail Nuss (584-2345),
the group is open to anyone in the community. Weekly seminar topics are
presented with DVDs featuring 32 renowned experts on divorce and recovery.
DC4K -
DivorceCare for Kids is outreach
which ministers to the children who are devastated by the loss of their
intact family. DC4K provides a safe, fun place where children will learn
to understand their feelings, express their emotions appropriately and
develop coping skills. Carol Steward (546-8579), former facilitator for
DivorceCare
for adults, leads this
program, which runs concurrently with the adult sessions. Child care for
toddlers is also available upon request.
DivorceCare and DC4K are
nondenominational programs featuring biblical teaching. Please call

"Keenagers" Older
Adult Ministry generally meets the third
Wednesday of the month in Fellowship Hall for lunch and a program. Older
Adult Coordinators are Arlene Opp and Ardene Judd.

Women Meets the second Tuesday of each month, 7:30 p.m.

"Body & Soul"
Women’s Exercise Class
Sponsored
by the Health & Welfare Commission, the class meets on Mondays and
Thursdays, 9 a.m. in Fellowship Hall for about one hour finishing
with a healthy snack. No experience necessary. This low-impact exercise group is led by Carol
Godfrey,
584-4402. Men's
Fellowship Breakfast meets the third Saturday of the month at 8
a.m. for breakfast and devotions. The group is led by Dave Pentz.
Muncy Valley United Methodist Men meet the
fourth Monday of the month at various churches in the
Muncy-Hughesville-Montgomery area at 7 p.m. Details of their schedule are
available from Howard Ott or Bill Likens.
Intercessory Prayer Group
Mondays at 10 a.m. in the church lounge. Everyone is welcome to come and
pray with us, or submit your requests for prayer. For more information,
call Arlene Opp (433-0306). Computer Learning Center Anyone
interested in learning basic computer may come in during office
hours (M-F, 9-4:30). Please call the church office in advance (546-8030).
