Lent
small group studies In the Old Testament God declared
himself through a burning bush: “I Am.” We will explore the ways
that Jesus expanded that simple declaration. Jesus made some bold
claims. “I am the Bread of Life.” “I am the Light.” “I am the Good
Shepherd.” These and other “I Am” statements of Jesus will be the
focus of eight sessions from the Gospel of John
which began the week
of Feb. 14. You are invited to journey with others to
discover who Jesus is as we meet in homes and study the scriptures.
Sign-up
sheets for the small groups will be available on Sunday mornings in
the narthex. Books ($6 each) will also be available at that time.
Call the church office for more information or contact Sally Gardy,

Tuesday Morning Study Group
began "Questions God Asks Us" on January 5. It meets in
Fellowship Hall at 10:00. Led by Sally Gardy.
There are five questions from the Old Testament and five from the
New Testament. God asks, “Where are you?”, “Where is your brother?”,
“What is that in your hand?”, “What is your name?”, “What are you
doing here?”, “What are you looking for?”, “Who do you say I am?”,
“Do you want to get well?”, “Why are you crying?”, and “Do you
understand what I have done for you?” Contact Sally Gardy or the
church office to register. The group will resume after Easter. Come and enjoy the discussion.
Transformation
comes from questions, not answers.
